My Career goal

I have always been interested in the idea of sports and doing fun activities to keep my body fit and healthy. For this reason, the career that has always been in the back of my head was a physical education teacher, and my goal is to become a Phys Ed teacher in the future. With this career, I would not only be able to put the fun ways to stay fit and active into practice, but I would also be able to teach these ways to younger generations so that I could hopefully influence them.

Even though I have always wanted to become a phys ed teacher, I convinced myself out of that dream because I heard that it was a hard field to find a job in. So for the past year I spent my education and money on a field that I was not interested in whatsoever. Eventually I woke up and realized that if I wanted something bad enough I would have to work hard and find grit to stick with it no matter the difficulties I am faced with. So this semester I finally switched my major over to Phys Ed and now I am starting the path to my future career.

In order to achieve everything I want in this career, I would definitely have to work hard and separate myself from other candidates that are also trying to become Phys Ed teachers. I am hoping that the job outlook improves, but because the outlook is so bad as of now, I would really have to find that separation between other candidates fir the job. Some things I would try to achieve in order to separate myself would be to get the highest grades possible this way when push comes to shove I have the grades to make me look even better when hiring. Also I would want to do a lot of active volunteer participation into various events that are similar to the field of Phys Ed, so that I can put these services in my resume. Another big thing that I wish to strive for is connections and relationships. I am hoping that by going back to my old high school/middle school/elementary school, I can form bonds with the Phys Ed teachers there hoping for positive references when the hiring process starts.

I am a big believer in maximizing one’s efforts in order to gain and maintain separation from others. I believed in this philosophy in sports, in school and now I want to follow this same philosophy to use when I strive to reach my career goal in becoming a Phys Ed teacher. I am hoping that I can become a Phys Ed teacher right in my hometown in Sayville, NY. However, I would be willing to teach anywhere because I know that anything is an experience.
